Perspectives of a Visual Thinker
Iryna Molodecky – July 16, 2025
Have you ever noticed that your most inspired ideas don’t come from thinking alone—but from feeling?
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how we approach creative problem solving—not just as a mental exercise, but as a whole-self practice. In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to fall into overthinking or analysis paralysis. But what if the real key to unlocking our deepest insights and most innovative solutions isn’t thinking harder—but feeling deeper?
Recent research suggests that aligning the heart and brain—achieving what’s known as heart-brain coherence—can significantly enhance your ability to solve complex problems with clarity, intuition, and originality. It all stems from a powerful insight: the heart fuels intention, and vision becomes clearer when it’s emotionally charged.
What Is Heart-Brain Coherence?
Heart-brain coherence is the state in which the heart and brain function in harmonious sync. This isn’t just poetic—it’s physiological.
When your heart rhythm becomes stable and ordered, it sends signals that improve brain function—especially in areas related to focus, intuition, and emotional clarity. In this coherent state, your brain doesn’t just think better—it thinks differently. It partners with your emotional intelligence, helping you access more creative, compassionate, and connected solutions.
Why it matters?
Sharper focus: Calm, coherent states reduce mental noise.
Deeper intuition: Insights flow more easily when you’re emotionally centered.
Wider perspective: Emotional balance expands your thinking and strengthens connections.
Sustainable creativity: Coherence supports long-term resilience and innovation.
How to cultivate coherence?
You can create this state through simple daily practices:
Heart-focused breathing: Inhale and exhale slowly while focusing on your heart.
Gratitude recall: Think of something that brings you genuine appreciation.
Short, regular check-ins: Even a few minutes a day can make a big difference.
This Month’s Card: Get to the Heart of It
Using the attached card, I invite you to explore:
What excites you most about your goals?
What wish lives behind your vision?
How would it feel to realize it—one year from now?
Try this: Draw your vision using “cloud shapes,” then connect them to your heart. Notice which ones light you up the most. That’s where the magic begins. This practice is not only fun—it’s transformative. Let your heart guide your next creative leap.

If you want to teach people a new way of thinking, don't bother trying to teach them.Instead give them a tool, the use of which will lead to new ways of thinking. Buckminster Fuller
