Visual Vocabulary Poster
Inspired by the Periodic Table of Visualization7 and Visual Data Vocabulary, the Visual Vocabulary poster presents an overview of the four basic categories of visualizing data and information:
1) Data 2) Information 3) Concept 4) Metaphors.
Choosing the right category or format gives structure to the learning, can help shape the conversation that emerges and can support the different types of thinking through the different stages of a project. Merging images with data helps students connect the dots in their comprehension.
